The brown bear (Ursus arctos) is a mammal of the bear family (Ursidae). He comes in several subspecies - including European Brown Bear (U. a. Arctos), Grizzly Bear (U. a horribilis) and Kodiakbär (U. a middendorffi) - in Eurasia and North America before.
Brown bears have the stocky, powerful physique of all bears, but their skeleton is usually built stronger than that of other members of their family. Features she shares with the rest of her family are the penile bony (baculum) and the short, stubby tail. A species-specific feature is the muscular hunchback over the shoulders, which gives the front legs extra strength.
