The Snow Hare (Lepus Timidus) is a species belonging to the Hare family (Leporidae). In Europe, it belongs to the vertebrate fauna of the Alps and, together with the Ptarmigan, is one of the few species well adapted to the Boreo-Alpine habitat. Its circulation area extends over Siberia, the Arctic, Greenland up to North America.
